gamersNET Battlefield 2 Cup
Nachdem die offiziellen Schweizermeisterschaften Ende November �ber die B�hne gegangen sind fragten sich sicherlich einige ob es in Zukunft eine Battlefield 2 Liga geben wird. Nat�rlich gehen wir den W�nschen nach und f�hren eine Battlefield 2 Liga ein. Allerdings wird diese nicht wie eine normale Liga mit jeder Woche ein Ligaspiel sein, sondern basierend auf mehreren Cups. Pro Quartal wird ein solcher Cup online durchgef�hrt und am Ende wird zusammengez�hlt damit der Sieger ermittelt werden kann.
Wir werden euch zu gegebener Zeit informieren. Nur so viel sei bereits gesagt, mitmachen lohnt sich!

Clanbase NationsCup IX - Battlefield 2
Kommende Woche geht es los mit dem Clanbase NationsCup f�r Battlefield 2. Dabei darf die  Schweiz gleich zum Er�ffnungsspiel antreten gegen die starken  Polen.
Zu diesem Anlass haben wir es uns nicht nehmen lassen den Teamleader einige Fragen zu stellen.

Alternatives Ranking System
Wie auf BF-News.de zu lesen ist, wird es in Zukunft ein Rankingsystem als Alternative f�r die kostenpflichtige Version von  DICE geben. Dabei werden beim Alternative Battlefield 2 Ranking (ABR) fast die gleichen Funktionen zum zug kommen wie beim offiziellen, jedoch wird es f�r alle Serveradmins gratis zum download angeboten. Dadurch soll eine offenes Ranking f�r alle Spieler m�glich sein und nicht nur f�r die Spieler die auf einem Ranked Server spielen. Eine Anfrage an DICE wurde positiv geantwortet, womit dem ABR nichts im Weg stehen sollte.

What is ABR
ABR is a collection of scripts, which provide the same functionality as the original official battlefield 2 ranks, without having to pay for a ranked server.
Why ABR
Obviously, ABR costs nothing and has support for mods, and above all, the stats rankings and even the criteria of all awards are configurable, to suit your needs.
ABR How does it work
ABR is a collection of scripts, which provide the core functionality, like ingame awards and ranks while playing, and the battlefield BFHQ backend. next to that, there is the administration interface on www.bf2scripts.com, where you can administer your world.
each world could contain multiple servers, running with the same mod/stats criteria. The gamer can join these servers thru the ABR client tool, or thru hotlinks via their clan/world website.
all servers in the world, send stats to the ABR master server. Each round is archive for 4 weeks, all player info is stored there. The ABR system is providing scripts that interface with our web backend, which is actually the same as the original BF2web backend from gamespy.
Those scripts will provide webstats for the world.
What is the ABR Master server
The ABR master server contains all stats from all games within ABR. The master server is only for stats collecting and storage, this improves a optimal uptime. the ABRstats server, is the web backend for stats and the usage of your custom scripts.
What are ABR Worlds
A ABR world, is a specific ranked world that can be created on the ABR website. The Creator of that world, is in total control of all the setting in that world. He decides which servers are accepted in that world. In case of stats padding or cheating, a world admin can remove a players stats completely, or remove suspicious rounds even 4 weeks back in history.
What is, and does the ABR Client?
The ABR client is a tool that simplifies joining your favorite server, and is also the world browser. Besides all this, the client tool provides link support, which makes it possible to join your server thru a specially crafted ABR:// link in your website.
What are Multiple Ranking worlds?
The ability to create multiple worlds, opens up a complete new oppertunities for battlefield. A clan can have its own world for his server, and tournaments can be created, and all stats will be recorded and available thru the backend.
What is ABR MOD support?
ABR is flexible, with modsupport - This means custom ranks, medals and ribbons in the BFHQ backend INGAME, and combined with the ABRclient. Only one click is needed to join you favorite modded server, without entering your gamespy details everytime. |
